Landing.Jobs raised €2M in a round led by LC Ventures, 200M and Jacobo UG. Here’s what we’re going to do with it.

Unlocking tech talent stories

2020 is going to be an enormous year for Landing.Jobs and our tech community. It’s only getting started and we already have a great stack of achievements: 3000+ lives have been changed, after being matched with the right opportunities. 50+ new remote tech teams have already been set up in locations like Portugal, for companies known around the world like Sky, Daimler, BinaryEdge and Volkswagen.

We’re really excited about our Series A round and this is obviously huge for us but what matters is what we’re doing from now on. So we’re putting down in writing what was already hard-coded into our values: like everything we do, we will be investing in our Tech Community.

Team

We’ll be investing more in our Extended Talent Network. Helping to provide our clients with highly-trained tech recruiters, remote or on-site, to help them increase their recruitment capacity. Last week we launched the 1st edition of the Tech Recruitment Academy to bring together dozens of people who intend to learn and (re)start their career working remotely as a Tech Recruiter.

We’ll be there for everybody in our community who has been asking for more remote work. We also believe that remote is the future and we’ll be helping more and more businesses see it too, by leveraging our online and offline presence.

We intend on helping more companies providing Tech Visas, to continue making Europe a global hotspot for tech talent. As several important economies like the US and the UK take steps to make immigration harder, we believe that companies will be looking for places to set up remote tech teams where talent is readily available and expandable.

Finally, we’re also investing in the great people that make our own Landing.Jobs team. We’ve moved to a new, larger office that gives our team better conditions to work and more room to shine.

Technology

One big technological innovation we’re bringing forward will allow better Talent Evaluation of both soft and hard skills. This will allow members of our community to understand the value that they have in both the organisation they’re working at and the tech market.

Other interesting projects are already in the pipeline. We’ll be implementing structural curation improvements so everyone using the platform will find it easier to get matched. We’re developing a new interviewing program that will standardise “skype interviews” with pre-recorded video and a pool of hand-picked Tech Experts for the post-tech assessment phase.

You might be noticing a trend here, but some of our new solutions will also be aimed at supporting Remote Work. From Payment, Invoicing and Tracking, we aim to simplify the work and life of the Contractors and Remote Workers of our community.

Brand

We’re bringing back Europe’s flagship Future of Tech & Work conference back for its 8th edition with a whole new brand. We are focused on reshaping careers and revolutionizing tech jobs so the now called Future.Works Lisbon Tech Conference 2020 will be a two-day event filled with activities and workshops, talks to inspire, plenty of networking opportunities, culminating in an epic boat party on the Tagus river.

Future.Works Lisbon Tech Conference 2020 will help you design the path for your career while providing you with the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals.

Data

We’ve always been firm believers that information drives innovation and that you need to be data-driven to drive change. So we’ll be investing in more deep data reports on the tech market, covering Salaries, Skills, Benefits & Perks and everything in between.

Our 2019 groundbreaking “Hiring in Portugal” demonstrates that we’ve set our standards high. But these are exactly the kind of projects that we’ll be developing: insightful, with exclusive research and deep analysis because we believe that’s the kind of content that will bring the most to our community.
