Landing.Tech #4 — Companies are harvesting data straight from your brain

Is this the future of AdTech?

Unlocking tech talent stories

January 31, 2020

Hello there!

Today is the 94th of January of 2020, there are no more democratic countries in the world and we now have more people living on Mars than on planet Earth. We’re kidding but January does seem to have lasted forever, we can all welcome February gently tomorrow. Let’s see what this final week of January brought us:

This month Amazon threatened to fire employees that were violating an updated external communications policy. The employees decided to fight back and the result is a collection of quotes regarding Amazon’s impact on the climate crisis. More than 300 employers ended up raising their voices. What are you or your company doing to tackle the climate issue?

Whenever the USA hold their elections, all the world is informed about it. The elections happening this next November aren’t changing that. We’ve been hearing about it for some time now, especially due to all the discussion regarding how Social Media is impacting it. But there’s something new, for the first time Twitter users in the US will be able to report tweets with misleading information. Is this a good tool or are they trying to control even more what is available for everyone to see?

When you research it, it’s not a trendy and recent technology. A company in 2002 spoke about using brain scans to study potential buyers for their marketing research. But this can be done not only with brain scans, but eye-tracking or other techniques can also be used to gather data from your cells and nerves. Is this the future of AdTech? Let us know in the comments.

And finally, the last Landing.Tech of January is done. Weather here on Mars is hot, but a friend of ours just came back from holidays in Venus and he said it wasn’t better. We hope to see you in February.

Aim for more,
