Unlocking tech talent stories

January 10, 2020

Hey there!

Welcome to the first edition of ‘Landing.Tech’ where we’ll be sharing with you our thoughts on what’s happening around the world of Tech each week.

As most of the Tech world, our eyes were also especially on what was happening in Las Vegas for the CES 2020, and that’s why 2 of the 3 articles we want to point out are about it. Let’s jump right in!

Everywhere you look, everybody’s talking about Privacy. This week was no different and all the big tech companies made sure they are releasing features that will increase the trust of their consumers on their products. But while they all addressed the topic, are they doing something meaningful about it?

Something that is also usually interesting to do around the CES’ week is to map the full picture of the products released and try to identify some trends. This year you can identify some specific areas that continue to be talked about as in recent years. Mobility and new self-driving or different means of transportation always show up in our current era. You can also see interesting appliances of Tech to improve your health care and hygiene or your yearly dose of new robots either to fight loneliness or to automate the most random task as a trashcan that ties up its garbage. It seems AI continues to rule.

But while what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, the rest of the world doesn’t stop. And Data Science is here to stay. This area has been growing in recent years and it will continue to grow. If it’s fascinating for you to understand what Data Engineers bring to the table and the role they’ll have on developing the future of most businesses and companies, you should be aware of the most in-demand tech skills for Data Engineers. We’re already sharping our Python knowledge, what about you?

These were some of the topics that caught our eye this week, and that deserved some interesting discussions around the office.

Let us know in the comments if we missed something that caught your eyes as well!

We’ll be back next week with more topics that raised our eyebrows.

Aim for more,
